DCD UK was held this year at the University of Leeds, and took place over two consecutive days (22nd-23rd of July). As a team, Research Dyscovery was proud to represent USW. Professor Amanda Kirby was asked to be the first keynote speaker of the event, and presented a three stranded talk around research literature relating to DCD in adulthood, clinical considerations when assessing adults with DCD, and a personal/parental view around living with an adult with DCD. Dr Catherine Purcell and Dr Amy Romijn later presented a poster presentation titled “Appropriateness of road safety education for children with developmental coordination disorder” (as shown below). The overall range of presentations and posters this year was exceptional; it was unsurprising that the event was sold out. A great networking opportunity, and a very interesting and insightful 2 day conference – Thank you to the University of Leeds and individuals involved with the organisation of this event.
